Wednesday Night Dinner
Each Wednesday evening (August through May) our congregation gathers in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 p.m. for fellowship and dinner, as well as a time for congregational singing, scripture readings, brief messages or presentations, and prayer. You can sign up for Wednesday night dinners by either signing the Service of Friendship pad in the pew on Sunday morning or by calling the Church office by Tuesday morning. There is a small charge to cover the cost of the meal. Everyone is welcome to join us....especially visitors!
Dinner With Friends
On a quarterly basis, small groups of no more than eight adults gather in homes or at restaurants for a meal. These groups are randomly selected each quarter and are a great opportunity to get to know your Church family better. For more information or to join a group, please contact the Church office.
Our annual Church family picnic has been held at Tate Springs for approximately 20 years! Back in the 90s, Mrs. Martha "Doodle" Tate was teaching children's Sunday School and encouraged attendance by offering to bring a "real" horse to Church for the children to ride. Soon, attendance grew to the point that Doodle invited everyone out to the lake so that the children could paint one of her white horses with watered down food coloring. The tradition of the painted horse continued until her passing in 2012 but the annual Church picnic continues to be held and is one of the high points of fellowship for all that attend. Visitors and members are encouraged to attend this fun event!
